Thailand's Thongchai Jaidee surged up the leaderboard to head the field going into the final round of the Porsche European Open.

Jaidee carded a seven-under-par 64 in the third round on Saturday to reach 13 under for the tournament at Golf Resort Bad Griesbach.

The 45-year-old, a six-time winner on the European Tour , carded eight birdies and just one bogey to climb 14 places up the standings.

Englishman Ross Fisher ended day three in a share of second place, one shot off the leader's pace, along with Sweden's Pelle Edberg, who carded a best-of-the-day 63, and Graeme Storm.

Storm, an Englishman from Hartlepool whose lone European Tour victory came eight years ago in France, also briefly reached 13 under par before finding water with his approach to the last.

Welshman Jamie Donaldson was lurking just another shot further back ahead of a potentially gripping final day in Bavaria.
