Anirban Lahiri maintained a two-stroke overnight lead by shooting a 3-under-par 68 on Friday at the Worldwide Holdings Selangor Masters in Malaysia.

Australia's Cameron Smith was in pursuit with a 66 on the day to take sole second place at 8-under, with Lahiri's fellow Indian S.S.P. Chowrasia a further two strokes back at the close of second-round play.

Lahiri, who is currently second on the Asian Tour's Order of Merit, was only at even-par for the day through 13 holes, a day after jumping ahead of the pack with an opening-round, 10-birdie display.

But the four-time Asian Tour winner closed strongly with three birdies on his last five greens to stay in front at the Seri Selangor Golf Club near Kuala Lumpur.

Following are top leaders through the second round:

132 - Anirban Lahiri (IND) 64-68

134 - Cameron Smith (AUS) 68-66

136 - S.S.P. Chowrasia (IND) 66-70

137 - Jake Higginbottom (AUS) 72-65, Chapchai Nirat (THA) 68-69, Jay Bayron (PHI) 69-68
